BTech (Construction Technology) for the employees of L&T Construction Ltd.

As a part of an MOU signed between Nirma University and L&T a BTech Programme for the employees of L&T Construction Ltd. Department of Civil Engineering, Department of Mechanical Engineering and Department of Electrical Engineering are jointly offering this BTech (Construction Technology) Programme for seven semesters. The targeted participants for the same are diploma holders of L&T. The first batch will be starting from the next academic term beginning from January 2022. This BTech Programme will be conducted in blended mode ? Online and Offline both. The candidates from L&T will be benefitted as this programme will fill the knowledge gap as they required in industry operations. It is a great opportunity for Nirma University as well to strengthen the industry-academia relations in the core branches of engineering. The launching ceremony for the course was held by L&T through online mode on 30 October 2021.

• A training program on ?Programming in C? was organized under CCE, coordinated by Dr. Jatin M. Dave, Prof. Pooja Shah, and Dr. Bhavin Shah from14^th August to 11^th September, 2021.
• Sudarshan Kurwadkar, Professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, California State University, USA, visited Nirma university campus on November 19-20, 2021. He held interactive sessions with the Head of the Department, Civil Engineering, as well as the faculty of the Department and delivered an informative talk on ?The occurrence and monitoring of contaminants of emerging concern?.
• Civil Engineering Department organized a Professional Development Course on Building Engineering ? Construction, Waterproofing, Maintenance and Repairs for managers of Pidilite Industries Ltd, Mumbai. The module 1 of the training programme for Pidilite Managers was conducted from June 02, 2021 to August 14, 2021 and the Module 2 of the training programme commenced from September 22, 2021.
• A lecture series was organized by the Centre of Excellence in Data Science established at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, in collaboration with SUNY Binghamton University, USA. Every month, one session was conducted by alumni from either side.

• Mr Harshal Trivedi, CEO-Tusker AI Limited(Revamping End-to-End Business Verticals with AI-Automation) were the illustrious speakers.
• Iowa State University?s Associate Dean of Research Dr Arun Somani, visited the ITNU campus on 10th November 2021. He provided counselling on higher studies and internship at IOWA state university.
• A lecture on ?SoC Design? was organized under the ARM Tech-Talk series at the Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering, Institute of Technology, Nirma University on October 08, 2021.
• The Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering organized an online workshop in collaboration with Vodafone Idea Foundation on ?Fundamentals of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning? from October 2-4, 2021.
• The department of Electronics and Communication Engineering organized a two-day International Webinar on ?Testing and Verification of VLSI Design? from September 3-4, 2021.

• The department of Electronics and Communication Engineering organized a GUJCOST sponsored two-day National Webinar on ?Optical Wireless Communication: Challenges and Opportunities? from August 06-07, 2020.
• The Electrical Engineering Department organized a national webinar on ?Emerging Trends in Electric Motors for Electric Vehicle Applications? sponsored by Gujarat Council on Science & Technology (GUJCOST) from September 23-24, 2021 with an aim to give exposure on trending technologies in electric motors in electric vehicles.
• A two-day workshop on ?Distribution System Analysis? was organized by Department of Electrical Engineering with Centre for Continuing Education programme, Nirma University, Ahmedabad from 18 ? 19 September 2021.
• Two days online training programme on ?iQR PLC? was conducted by the ATC Mitsubishi Electric India Pvt. Ltd., at Department of Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering Institute of technology from 29-30 October 2021.
• One day online training programme on ?GOT 2000? was conducted by the ATC Mitsubishi Electric India Pvt. Ltd., at Department of Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering on 7^th August, 2021.
• The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, organized a Lecture Series from September 27 to October 06, 2021, in the course of Microwave and Antenna Engineering, for the students of Semester-VII, on the topic ?Aperture and Reflector Antennas?.
• The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering organized Collaborative Teaching sessions for the students of MTech, Semester-I. A module on, ?Programming Languages for Embedded Systems? was delivered by Mr. Nirav Shah, Research Scientist, Intel Labs, Bangalore.
• The Electronics and Communication Students? Organization (ECO) organized an interactive session for the students of BTech Semester VII, EC on September 21, 2021 with the Alumni of the Department.
